Cybersalt Slideshow is made by Cybersalt Consulting Ltd. in British Columbia, Canada. This page explains what the screensaver and this website collect, and why.
The screensaver
The screensaver never connects to the internet. It reads photos only from the folders you choose and shows them on your screen. It does not upload, collect or send your photos, file names or any other information. Your settings and license key are stored in the Windows registry on your own PC. Checking a license key happens entirely on your PC.
Downloading
When you download the installer we count the download with the version number and the date. Like any web server, ours also keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Buying a license
When you buy a license we collect your name, your email address, a username and password for your account (the password is stored encrypted), and the country you choose. We use them to create your account, issue and email your license key, send your receipt and answer your support questions.
Payments are handled by PayPal or Stripe. Your card or PayPal details go straight to them; we never see or store card numbers. We keep a record of each order (plan, amount, date and the payment company's transaction number) for our accounts and taxes.
Support messages
When you use the support form we keep what you send us so we can answer you. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person and may process your IP address and browser details to do so.
Cookies
This website uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms. We don't use advertising cookies.
Who else sees your information
Only the services needed to run the site: our web host in North America, PayPal or Stripe for payments, and Google Workspace, where our support email is handled. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
